Volunteering Development Worker

22.5 hours pw, (flexible)                    

Actual salary £ 14237  - Based on full-time £23412     

  

This post is funded until 30th  June 2012

 

We are recruiting a part-time Volunteering Development Worker to work on a project “Supporting Volunteering in Cheshire and Warrington”, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

The Development Worker will work closely with the existing Volunteer Centre staff in Cheshire and Warrington. Although this is a partnership project across Cheshire and Warrington they will be based in Crewe and work across Cheshire East and employed by Community and Voluntary Services Cheshire East.

 

The Development Workers’ role will be to support local organisations in developing good practice in managing volunteers, developing new volunteering opportunities, and encouraging more people to volunteer.  

 

Applicants should have-

 

· Enthusiasm for the value of volunteering.

· Experience and understanding of working with volunteers, and the need for good practice in managing volunteers.

· Knowledge of the voluntary sector.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop good working relationships.

· Ability to work as part of a team, and independently.

· Willingness to travel within Cheshire East and occasionally to Warrington and other parts of Cheshire

· A current driving licence.
