Do you need help with accessing funding?

GRANTnet is a straightforward free to use service from GRANTfinder, which can help you to identify suitable funding for your activity or project. It allows community and voluntary groups, sports and other clubs, schools, social enterprises and small businesses to search across a huge range of funding sources.

When using the system for the first time, go to the 'New to GRANTnet? Register here' link on the GRANTnet ‘Log in’ screen. Details to be entered include your   e-mail address (this will become the username), name, organisation, postal address and telephone number. Clicking on the 'Register' button will generate an e-mail providing a password within minutes.

One to one funding support, tailored to meet your requirements

Tracey Langston, Funding Advisor, is available to meet with groups to help them to identify potential funders for their organisation.  The service is offered free of charge to voluntary and community groups and will be tailored to meet your requirements. 

The funding search will be carried out using the following software packages:

FunderFinder

FunderFinder GIN (for Groups in Need) is a computer software program that helps charities and voluntary organisations identify which charitable trusts and other funding sources which might support their work.  The computer program will need to be told:

• what kind of a group you are
• what sort of money you're looking for (e.g. running costs, project, building work)
• whether your project is of more than local significance
• whether your group has charitable status
• how much money you're trying to raise
• whether you're prepared to raise it in smaller amounts
• whether your project is particularly innovative, or particularly radical or unpopular, or particularly concerned with self-help
• where in the world the work is taking place and where your group is based

GrantFinder

Established in 1985, GRANTfinder is a user-friendly funding database carrying details in excess of 4,000 UK and EU grants, loans, venture capital and advisory programmes – a reservoir of information that is constantly growing and continuously updated.

About the  CNVA Funding service

CNVA have provided information on local and national funding sources to many groups, given advice on their grant applications and even helped to define the project they wanted to develop. For regular updates on funding streams, we produce a Funding Supplement called “Spare Change” for our members.

All searches are confidential and your organisation will be able to access other services such as help with writing a constitution, guidance with policy writing, business plan development, training and access to partnerships and networks which exist to further the development of the voluntary and community sector.
